End Water Poverty, alongside other water and sanitation campaigns and networks, thanks you for joining The World Walks for Water - a campaign for World Water Day which mobilised 350,000 to stand up to governments across the globe and challenge them to end the water and sanitation crisis.
This crisis sees women walk 40 billion hours per year carrying water weighing 18 kg which is still not safe to drink. It causes death, disease, missed educations and missed lives.
The campaign was a huge success - piling on pressure on governments across the world to improve their water and sanitation provision, as well as to donor countries to increase prioritization to water and sanitation in their policies and aid.
We would like to thank everyone for participating - do watch the video to see if you appear!
For more information on the campaign, do take a look at the website or contact Serena O'Sullivan.
